Reformation is a revolutionary lifestyle brand that proves fast fashion and sustainability can co-exist. Created in 2009 by Founder & CEO Yael Aflalo, Reformation is dedicated to transforming current harmful retail practices by leading a sustainable revolution and paving the path for the fashion industry.

Reformation designs and manufactures the majority of their collections in their Los Angeles factory. The brand sources sustainable fabrics, including TENCEL™ and ECONYL® while incorporating better practices throughout the supply chain to make clothing at a fraction of the environmental impact of conventional fashion.

In addition to manufacturing sustainably, Reformation invests in offset programs that help replace some of the resources used in production as well as circularity initiatives that eliminate the concept of waste by reusing and recycling materials to put back into the fashion system. This year, Reformation is participating in the Main Street Zero Waste pilot program, comprising of a 2-bin system for COMPOST and RECYCLING to eliminate the trash bin and help Santa Monica achieve their zero waste goal by 2030. Additionally, in February 2019 Reformation introduced a series of programs dedicated to providing easier ways for consumers to reduce their environmental footprint through wind energy and climate credits via partnerships with Arcadia Power and NativeEnergy.

Sustainability education is also incredibly important to Reformation. In 2015 Reformation introduced RefScale, a tool that tracks the environmental footprint of each product by adding up the pounds of carbon dioxide emitted, waste generated, and gallons of water used. Reformation also releases quarterly sustainability report to track progress throughout the year along with their customers.  Reformation is available at or one of their 13 stores across the U.S., including a location in Santa Monica that opened in August 2018.
